Interpretariato consecutivo ? come avviene?

What is consecutive interpreting?

The interpreting consecutive the interpreter starts only when the speaker has finished the speech.

Consecutive interpreting occurs when the interpreter listens to the source language speaker and after a sentence or part of speech reproduces the speech in the target language for the audience.

Typically, in consecutive interpreting during a speech, the translator is next to the caller. When the speaker finishes a speech, or has a pause in his speech, the interpreter reproduces the statement in the target language as a whole and in such a way that it seems that he said it.

Consecutive interpreting differs from link interpreting only in the length of the fragments to be translated. In consecutive interpreting the speaker can speak without interruption, even for five minutes. To memorize the content of the speaker's five-minute speech, interpreters often use a special system of notes, consisting of symbols representing words – keys and characters such as: coherence, negation, emphasis, implication, etc. In this system, the interpreter is not to memorize the words, but to recreate the meaning of the information provided by the speaker.

Congressi Internazionali is able to provide consecutive interpreting services for a wide range of situations such as: medical appointments, interviews with local authority tenants, confidential hearings, meetings with lawyers, visits to social or revenue offices, sales, corporate presentations and annual summary meetings.
